Health gives the Business Forum new life and greater responsibility

Greater clarity about who does what when it comes to business efforts at Health is needed, and to ensure this, the faculty’s Business Forum is getting a make-over – both in terms of tasks, responsibilities and also composition.

How can we increase the number of industrial PhDs at Health? How can we strengthen mobility between AU and business and industry? How can we ensure more cooperation between companies and our Master’s thesis students? And how do we increase the number of students who are interested in innovation and entrepreneurship?

These are some of the questions that the new Business Forum at Health must find answers to – and furthermore, the forum must also ensure that the answers are put into effect.

With a new organisation, the Business Forum will become the faculty’s interdisciplinary, coordinating and advisory body. The Business Forum is tasked with promoting and improving business initiatives across the faculty, and the body must also develop, coordinate and implement the specific activities.

The composition of the Business Forum reflects the desire for broad cooperation –also across AU in general.

The members are

  • Vice-Dean for Talent and External Relations Lise Wogensen Bach
  • The faculty's business engagement partners: Claus Olesen, Thomas Bull Andersen, Martin Vesterby, Helle Hornhaver, Rubens Spin-Neto and Christian Lindholst
  • Head of Graduate School Helene Nørrelund
  • A representative from the Technology Transfer Office
  • A representative from the Dean’s Office

The Business Forum is supported by the Dean’s Office and holds three-four meetings annually. It acts as the practical liaison to the strategically orientated business committee which is – and will continue to be – comprised of the members of the faculty management team.
