Dean Lars Bo Nielsen hosted the event. Here he is seen presenting the Jens Christian Skou award comprising a diploma and DKK 100,000 towards research.

At the award ceremony, the faculty management team and Simon Glerup’s family and closest colleagues gathered to pay tribute to the talented young researcher.

Simon Glerup began his celebration address with photos of him as a child and young man, at which time he was an avid bookworm and an experimental Gyro Gearloose who carried out experiments at home in the garden in his search for pay dirt – a quest he has continued to dedicate himself to in his research.

He went on to excitedly talk about his research and became so absorbed that he asked the dean to stop him if he went on too long. Finally, Simon Glerup thanked everyone for the award, for his managers' trust and for his collaboration with both national and international research colleagues and mentors.
