Last chance to apply for a mobility scholarship for stays abroad

Dreaming of a change of location and a stay at a foreign research institution – then now is the time to act! For the last time, researchers and lecturers employed at Health can apply for mobility scholarships. And this time you can split up your stay abroad as you want.

Need a new view and new insights? If you carry out research and/or teaching at minimum associate professor level at Health, you can apply for a mobility scholarship to realise your dream of studying or working abroad.

Thinking about swapping Aarhus for Auckland? If you are employed at Health as a researcher and/or lecturer, you can realise your dream with the help of a mobility and sabbatical scholarship.

Funding comes from Health's adjustable grant from the Aarhus University Research Foundation (AUFF) and is awarded to researchers and lecturers at minimum associate professor level who want new professional inspiration and an international network.

And if this sounds like you, then you need to make a decision quickly, as this is the last time that AUFF will make the grant and any stays abroad must be completed in 2019. On the other hand, the conditions for receiving a scholarship have been relaxed. It is now possible to split a stay at a foreign university into several periods, so you commute between home and abroad. This offers a more flexible model for e.g. researchers and lecturers with families who are not ready to move abroad for a longer period.

Applications of up to DKK 200,000 are possible from the adjustable grant which totals DKK one million. The money can be spent on travel and accommodation, workload reduction from AU and other documented additional expenses in connection with the stay abroad. One requirement is that any stay at a foreign research institution must be between minimum three months and maximum nine months.

Applications for a scholarship must be approved by the department head while the vice-deans for research and talent will select the recipients.
