Aarhus School of Dentistry at Aarhus University is the seventeenth best in the world.

Aarhus School of Dentistry made its debut on the QS ranking lists last year in twenty-third place. This year the school makes a big jump up the list and earns a seventeenth place, which pleases the acting department head at the Department of Dentistry, Eva Karring.

"We are pleased with the recognition of our high level of academic excellence on the dentistry degree programme. Not just that we are high up the list, but also the fact that we are rising up the list, which I see as an indication that we are developing in the right direction," says Eva Karring.

Aarhus School of Dentistry has been assessed together with fifty similar research institutions. The assessment is based on factors including the number of citations per article, reputation among researchers and employers and the h-index.

The University of Hong Kong occupies first place on the QS list. The School of Dentistry at the University of Copenhagen is number thirteen on the list. Aarhus shares its seventeenth place with the University of Birmingham.
