The Dean: We need to be better at gender equality

We cannot wait for the problem of gender equality at the faculty to solve itself, says Dean Lars Bo Nielsen in this year's holiday greeting. Specific initiatives to improve gender equality have therefore been launched in three areas: Recruitment, career development and management.

There are still far too few female professors. Men are still getting both the majority and the biggest grants, and it is still men who receive the majority of prizes and awards. We must change this. Because, as things look now, we are letting far too much talent slip through our fingers.

In this year's holiday greeting, Dean Lars Bo Nielsen presents the coming initiatives to correct the imbalance when it comes to gender equality at the faculty.
