Teaching award to clinical Associate Professor Lone Kirkeby

Clinical associate professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine and consultant at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Regional Hospital West Jutland, Lone Kirkeby, is this year's recipient of 'The Golden YODA' education award.

Lone Kirkeby is head of degree programme and consultant, and she received the award in recognition of her great commitment and work with education at the hospital. Over the past three years, she has carried out a thorough revision of the education and introduced systematic training of the junior doctors with outpatient functions, ward rounds and education days in the operating room, as well as ongoing evaluation of their progress.

As clinical associate professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Lone Kirkeby is especially committed  to the part of the education relating to the medical students clinical medical doctor tasks in the department and in collaboration with the other staff.

The prize is awarded by the Association of Junior Orthopaedic Surgeons in Denmark (YODA) to persons, departments or institutions who have made a particularly significant effort to improve the educational conditions of junior orthopaedic surgeons.
