In the period 12–15 November, students will once again be electing representatives to the councils, boards and committees at the university. If you are interested in standing for election, now is the time to get involved. You can also make a difference by voting for the candidate who you think is best qualified to make a difference for your degree programme.

Would you like a seat at the table when important decisions are made about the structure of your academic regulations, planning of the exams or course evaluations? Now is your chance to stand for the university election and let your opinion be heard – or to help your fellow students have their say.
This year, you can stand for election to – or vote for candidates for – the AU Board, the local boards of studies and the academic councils. PhD students can also stand for election and vote in elections to PhD committees. Read more about the various councils, boards and committees.
If you are interested in standing for election, you can register your candidacy from Thursday 18 October at 9:00 to Friday 26 October at 12:00. However, it is a good idea to submit your candidacy registration form as early as possible in the period so that any errors can be corrected before the deadline expires. Click here to read more about how to stand for election.
You can also contact the local councils and boards at your faculty if you want to learn more.

On many degree programmes and at many faculties, there are degree programme councils and university political groups that meet to discuss what changes they would like to see in their programmes or at the university. If you would like to find out more about student politics, contact the members of your local board of studies or academic council – or one of the student political organisations.
