Although a Canadian snowstorm stopped the keynote speaker, Chris Watling, from attending, it did not stop the participants at Health’s Education Fair on 13 December 2017 from sharing knowledge about methods, forms and initiatives for teaching.
Vice-Dean for Education Charlotte Ringsted took Chris Watling’s place and talked about the process of creating a vision and the strategic basis for all the degree programmes at Health.
Her talk was followed by seven speed-presentations covering everything from systematic feedback in clinical teaching to reflections on the use of videos as part of teaching.
One of the presentations was made by Christian Hoe, who is a public health science student and a member of the iNHEALTH think tank. He talked about how they arranged an event where students from public health science meet business and industry and work with solutions to their challenges through case competitions. What the participants said
The day was rounded off with conversations around the eleven poster presentations in the hall at AIAS in the University Park, which was the location for the education fair. Several of the participants took the opportunity for clarification and to exchange experiences of the many educational initiatives.
