On Thursday 4 March at 10:00, Anne-Birgitte Garm Blavnsfeldt defends her PhD dissertation entitled "Axial and peripheral bone changes in Rheumatoid Arthritis".
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis are at increased risk of osteoporosis and fragility fractures. Part of this risk is due to systemic inflammation, which may be treated with glucocorticoid. In this PhD-projet we present a systematic leterature review and meta-analysis of randomized studies on glucocorticoid treatment and its effect on bone in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
