The university elections have started, and you can now vote for the candidate you want to represent you and your fellow students' interests.

This year, PhD students can vote for local PhD committees and academic councils.

And there are good reasons for you to vote, because the topics discussed by the various councils, boards and committees at AU have an influence on your degree programme and on your everyday life at Aarhus University. Among other things, the PhD committees discuss the content of PhD programmes, approve the range of PhD courses, and draw up proposals for internal guidelines for the graduate school.

The academic council discusses academic issues such as the faculty's strategy, budgets and recruitment policy.

How to vote

Log on to the system with your AU ID and password. Once you have logged on, you can see what elections you can vote in and who you can vote for. You can vote online during the election period from 9 November at 9:00 to 12 November at 16:00.

Note that PhD students enrolled on the 4+4 or 3+5 scheme can also vote for the local board of studies and for the AU board.

The election results will be announced at the beginning of the week commencing 16 November (week 47) on au.dk/valg.
