New graduate: Congratulations – we did it!

No less than five degree programmes were represented when the Department of Public Health held its annual Graduation Celebration in the Main Hall on 25 June – for the first time also with the Master's degree programme in Public Health Science, among others. And with many happy graduates.

DANDRITE Topical Seminar by visitor Katja Reinhard

Katja Reinhard, Centre for Integrative Neuroscience, University of Tübingen, Tübingen, Germany is visiting Aarhus and will give a DANDRITE Topical Seminar talk entitled: "Illuminance-dependent variability in response properties of retinal ganglion cells"

One of the reasons may be that  cancer increases the tendency of the blood to congeal.

New AU professor studies diseases of the joints

Ellen-Margrethe Hauge has taken up a five-year clinical professorship at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital. She conducts research into changes in bone tissue in connection with chronic rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

In her professorship, Susanne Wulff Svendsen will focus on diseases of the musculoskeletal system and other common diseases such as e.g. inguinal hernias.

Susanne Wulff Svendsen is the new clinical professor of occupational medicine at Aarhus University and the Regional Hospital West Jutland. She conducts research into physical occupational injuries.

Many Danes neglect to say yes to new eco-friendly electricity meter

The majority of Danish consumers would agree to have a new environmentally friendly electricity meter installed, if they didn’t have to get their computers out and actively enter a website to give their consent, says researcher from Aarhus University. Denmark is becoming less green each time a user does not say yes.
