Jens Cosedis Nielsen is supervisor of the year at Health

The PhD students at Health have named Professor Jens Cosedis Nielsen from the Department of Clinical Medicine as the year’s best supervisor.

The PhD Day warmed up with a battle for a well-known scholarship

Three PhD students took the stage at the start of the traditional PhD Day at Health when the doors opened Friday. They were the recipients of the Fogh-Nielsen scholarship of DKK 125,000. Their presentations on the stage determined how the scholarship was distributed.

Phishing emails in circulation: Never reveal your password

Some AU staff members have recently received false emails which try to trick them into revealing their password. If you receive a phishing email, do not follow the instructions in the email. Simply delete it.

Villum Kann Rasmussen award goes to molecular biologist

On Friday 22 January 2016, Professor Jens Stougaard will receive Denmark's largest individual research award, the 2016 Villum Kann Rasmussen Annual Award for Technical and Scientific Research, valued at DKK 5 million. Candidates do not apply for this award from the VILLUM FOUNDATION.

'Book a researcher' is looking for speakers

Researchers are now invited to give a presentation or lecture at the ‘Book a Researcher’ event – a Festival of Research initiative which gives everyone in Denmark an opportunity to have a free visit from a researcher. This year, the Festival of Research is taking place from 25 April to 1 May.

Søren K. Kjærgaard resigns as department head

After eleven-and-a-half-years in the position, department head Søren K. Kjærgaard from the Department of Public Health at Aarhus University has taken the decision to return to research and teaching. This will officially take place on 1 June 2016.

AU researcher receives DKK 10 million from the Lundbeck Foundation towards stem cell research for kidney transplantation
