According to Luise Aamann, who is behind the study, strength training can make a significant difference for patients with cirrhosis. In Denmark, approximately 2000 patients are diagnosed with cirrhosis annually. Cirrhosis usually occurs after long-term damage caused by e.g. alcohol, obesity or viruses.
