The number of people diagnosed with alcohol-related liver disease has decreased over the past decade in Denmark. At the same time, the prognosis for these patients has improved with fewer hospital admissions and improved survival. This is shown by a study from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital.

Huganir, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA, will give a virtual DANDRITE lecture titled: "Regulation of Neurotransmitter Receptors in the Brain in Health and Disease." The lecture will take place online via Zoom.

Four AU projects will receive funding from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's pool for research equipment and research facilities. The Minister for Higher Education and Science has allocated a total of DKK 150 to nine projects.

From the autumn semester 2021, Aarhus University will replace Blackboard with the new learning platform Brightspace. Students from a number of different degree programmes are currently participating in Brightspace test runs. In the autumn semester, all students at AU will have access to the new platform.
