Vice-Dean hosts online meeting about the teaching and exam situation in this and the coming semester

Vice-Dean for Education Lise Wogensen Bach invites all teachers at Health to an online meeting about the current teaching situation, the plans for conducting the exam and our expectations for the teaching in the spring semester 2021. The meeting takes place on Wednesday 18 November from 15:00 – 16.15 hrs.

Help for intensive care patients with cognitive difficulties

Professor Pia Dreyer from the Department of Public Health is heading a new research project that will study and support the cognitive rehabilitation of intensive care patients, both in the intensive care unit and during the subsequent period at home. The Novo Nordisk Foundation has given the project a grant of DKK 7,5 million.

According to newly-appointed Professor Ulrik Dalgas from Aarhus University, well-planned physical training has virtually no side-effects and is also a cheap form of treatment for neurological and orthopaedic patients.

High cholesterol in the elderly should be taken much more seriously

Elderly people with elevated blood cholesterol levels have a significantly increased risk of heart disease, and many of them would benefit from preventative medicine. Cardiologist Martin Bødtker Mortensen from Aarhus University Hospital is lead author of a study published in The Lancet today.
