Søren Riis Paludan, professor at the Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University, has just received an ERC Advanced Grant of DKK 18.7 million from the European Research Council (ERC). The grant gives him the opportunity to bring research into new immunological mechanisms to a new level.

A large study from Aarhus University showed that for individuals diagnosed with diabetes, screening is associated with a reduction in healthcare costs due to fewer admissions and doctor’s visits and a reduction in prescribed medication.
