The probability of developing a depression before you turn thirty is associated with genetics, but also has to do with the psychiatric history and socioeconomic status of a person’s parents. This is shown by a research result from iPSYCH, which may help to improve identifying the risk of depression.

...PhD student Thor Haahr from the Department of Clinical Medicine! He shares the coveted Fogh-Nielsen scholarship of DKK 125,000 with the two other Fogh-Nielsen finalists. The scholarship is awarded to young researchers who conduct excellent research and who are, at the same time, good at communicating it.
